The heart of every fountain pen is the nib. With our fountain pens, it becomes a unit together with the ink feeder, which guarantees a reliable writing experience. With our modular principle, we offer Kaweco springs in many different variations. In addition to the line widths, which range from extra fine to extra wide via calligraphy nibs, they differ in the materials selected for them and in special processing techniques. All of our springs have one thing in common: they are made in Germany.
The screw mechanism, with which the nib unit of our writing implements in the medium to high price segment can be turned, makes it possible to use nibs of all kinds. The Kaweco spring inserts are available in the standard size 060 and the large version 250.
The following series are suitable for our 060 springs with thread: AL Sport, AC Sport, Brass Sport, Steel Sport, Liliput, Special, Student, Dia2
The 250 spring unit is suitable for our Kaweco Supra.
The Kaweco steel springs are made of spring steel. An iridium grain at the tip and a precisely measured nib slot minimize the tolerances of the line widths from extra fine to extra wide.
It does not fit in the Sport Classic, Frosted or Skyline Plastic Fountain Pens.
Premium Nibs:
Those who focus on writing comfort and not on the material gold can now enjoy the unique writing pleasure of a gold nib with the Kaweco premium steel nibs. Aside from their beautiful, sun-shaped engraving, the larger iridium grain gives you impeccable writing behavior. Thanks to the hand-finished rounded inner edges, the nib glides evenly and softly over the paper. The way our premium nibs are made and the writing quality are the same as our real gold nibs.
The nib comes in a silver box with a special sleeve, the design of which was taken from a Kaweco advertising format from the 1970s.

The premium steel nib has a 060 thread and fits in the metal sports series such as AL Sport, in the Liliput or in our long writing instruments such as Dia2, Student and Special.
